• Added ability to automatically send all current map products to newer devices if possible.
• Added ability to send full map products to newer devices rather than needing to select individual map tiles.
• Added display of how many map tiles are selected.
• Changed the map selection page to no longer list map products that are locked for the selected device.

Solar storm is on its way and it is expected that it will affect high accuracy GPS system

Although the storm is stronger than in January this year, it should not cause trouble in the car navigation systems.

(Reuters) - A strong geomagnetic storm is racing from the Sun toward Earth, and its expected arrival on Thursday could affect power grids, airplane routes and space-based satellite navigation systems, U.S. space weather experts said.

Garmin BaseCamp updated to version 3.3.1

• Added shaping point support for zumo devices like done in MapSource.
• Added explicit support for shaping points. These will be transferred to supporting devices.
• Added support for transfer of waypoint categories on supporting devices. These are displayed in BaseCamp as lists.
• Added specific avoidances for various road classes, removed the road selection slider.
• Added custom activity profiles.
• Changed to make GPX files on a memory card directly editable.
• Changed to read all GPX files on a memory card, similar to how devices behave.
• Improved graphing of track data.
• Improved layout of geotagged photo, waypoint, route, and track properties.

Garmin updated POI loader for Windows. To download, please visit Garmin International Support: or just click HERE.

POI Loader is used to load custom points of interest into Garmin GPS device. After you can also set up proximity alarm so it will remind you to reduce speed in certain areas.
